Debra Dusome lives on twenty acres outside of Petersfield with her partner, Brenda, and her three dogs Brodie, Rua, and Abby. She likes to write poetry and prose, and tackles subjects from life both serious and humourous.

Germaine L Gougeon is also a photographer who has recorded her travels from Alaska to Africa. She spent her youth in Transcona, raised three daughters in Anola, and is now retired from the Provincial government.

Jeanne Gougeon moved to Winnipeg Beach with her husband in September 2009. She is a retired teacher who has always wanted to write but has never found the time until now. She enjoys writing prose and poetry in French and in English.

Kathleen Hastie is an accomplished artist and teacher whose work is known in North America, Europe, and Asia. A member and former president of the Gimli Art Club, she has lived in Gimli for 41 years. Prior to that, Kathleen sang in choirs and as a soloist.

Richard Koreen is a retired teacher living on Willow Island with his wife Diane and Oddy, a Border Collie. The writing he enjoys most is based on personal experiences as seen from his very unserious, sometimes madcap, perspective.

Carla (Nachtigall) Lamoureux comes from a very creative family. Her mother, Carol Gunvaldsen, has been her lifelong artistic inspiration. Her joy in every aspect of art keeps her grounded in this somewhat crazy world.

w.h.m. also known as Bill Martin, began writing poetry about 20 years ago. Bill and his wife Sharon operate a bed and breakfast in their straw bale house on the shore of Lake Winnipeg. Bill recently won first prize in the New Icelandic Heritage Museum Poetry Challenge.

Tyra Masters-Heinrichs writes and has been published in many genres and co-authored the anthology Don't Worry, It's Just the Wind... with Eric McKinnon. She is currently co-facilitating a monthly class on Fantasy Writing with author Ishbel Moore.

Eric McKinnon placed first in the 2010 Islendingadagurinn Short Story Competition, second in the Poetry Competition. He's had work in The Icelandic Connection and in Voices since 2003, placing in the LWWG Fiction Contest.

Doreen Millichamp's short stories and poems have delighted children and adults.  Her stories have appeared in several Manitoba newspapers. She has self published three of The Campfire Boys series and presents her work through “Meet the Author” sessions.

Adelaide (Lena) Recabarren has self published two books, the second a collaboration with her sister, Sabrina Mason. She has also set up a Facebook page, Heads Of A Poet, which is used to interact with other poets, and offer help promoting self-published authors.

H RogueRaiders' (Helma Rogge Rehders) joyous perspective on life brings magic to her art and poetry. She paints large and small, aiming for the fantastic and imaginative in visual expression and poetry—on occasion with sublime results. She learned to tie her shoelaces at 60 watching her grandson, and has just discovered that anything goes—even in poetry.

Donna Widmer lives in Calgary, but finds special inspiration as a member of the writers' group in Port Aransas, Texas. She has had work published in Avenue Magazine and The Writers Block.

Mimi Zollars studied creative writing at the University of Washington.  She has a children's book due out in July 2011.  She currently lives in Port Aransas with her three children.
